Allison Earl CA, ICD.D.
President and CEO, Director
Allison has 25 years of senior executive leadership experience in the financial and business sectors and a track record of success in building and growing businesses. Allison believes in Compassion*Achievement*Excellence…Always. She is the CEO and President of Advantage Tower Ltd. where she participates in leading a strong solutions based culture with embedded fundamental core values and accountability. Allison and the Advantage Tower team work hard and have fun developing and executing their strategic plan to realize the company’s vision to be recognized as the “caring expert” in the tower and wireless industry.
Recently, as Chair and CEO of BCT Structures Inc., Allison successfully led a corporate turnaround in 18 months realizing 2.8 times equity in an all cash deal. She is a chartered accountant with over 20 years of financial expertise in public practice. Industry experience includes CFO and Vice President of a private equity firm in the oil and gas sector and numerous board roles. Allison is an ICD certified director and a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. She currently volunteers as a coach for junior curling, is a Calgary Flames Ambassador and sits on the Flames Foundation poker committee. Allison loves the game of curling and holds multiple Canadian and Provincial Curling titles. She is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan where she was class president.
Executive Vice President
Edward has over 23 years of experience across a variety of industries predominantly in technology and wireless communications. He currently serves as Executive Vice President. Edward brings a breadth of skills in Account Management, Business Development, Operations, Network Deployment, Process Improvement and Performance Metrics to his role.
Prior to joining Advantage Tower, Edward had a varied and successful career focused on commercialization, strategic partnerships, sales leadership, process design and business development at companies including Telus, Zi-Corporation, E-Zone Networks, wMode and Xplornet.
Edward holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Duke University, Durham, NC.
Director, Canadian Operations
As a proven and passionate leader, John has strong technical, business and project expertise with 28+ years experience in Project Management and HSE issues. John has worked with numerous organizations including government (i.e. regulator), consulting, oil and gas services and producer companies during his career. John is an expert at supervising all levels of technicians, consultants, engineers and trades people and in building relationships with multi-discipline teams of clients, managers, senior executives and staff.
John is well versed in project delivery and has worked on projects throughout his career of up to $12 Billion dollars in size. John is responsible for overall coordination of activities between the client, design professionals, supply chain management, and manufacturing.
Jamie brings over 16 years of tower industry experience to his role at Advantage Tower. He has more than seven years of experience working in the field installing guyed towers, self-support towers and civil works. Additionally, he has more than five years of experience working as a Project Manager in the tower industry.
Prior to coming to Advantage Tower, he spent 4 years as the Manitoba Branch Manager at a national tower company. Jamie served as the Operations and Project Manager for the Designate D150 Project.
Jamie serves as a member of the Waterloo Regional Crime Stoppers, Board of Directors.
Martin serves as a principal investor and key member of Advantage Tower’s governance and leadership team and is a fundamental resource with regard to business development and community relations for the company.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur and humanitarian, Martin is a former professional hockey player with a career spanning 20 years, playing forward position in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1988 to 2008. During his hockey career, Martin had the privilege of playing on teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, Quebec Nordiques, Vancouver Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators. Notably, Martin was a member of the Edmonton Oilers’ Stanley Cup championship team in 1990.
Martin’s passion for hockey, community service, business and leadership development is steadfast and continues today through his current role as an NHL Assistant Coach for the Calgary Flames. Prior to joining as Assistant Coach with the Calgary Flames in 2012, Martin served as Director of Player Development with the NHL’s Nashville Predators.
Randy Wiebe CA CFA
Chief Financial Officer
Randy has over 25 years of experience in various finance roles. Prior to joining Advantage Tower, Randy spent 2 years as AVP Financial Planning and Analysis with Mark’s Work Wearhouse (“Mark’s”), a national retail apparel and footwear chain. In this role, Randy was responsible for strategy, planning, analysis and forecasting. Prior to his role in financial planning and analysis, Randy was Vice-President, Controller with Mark’s with a wide range of financial responsibilities including financial reporting, tax and operational support.
Previous to this, Randy was Chief Financial Officer with Samson Healthcare Technologies (“Samson”). Samson was a private start-up company that went public targeting the consolidation of home health care businesses in Western Canada.
Randy is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst. In addition, Randy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
