Allison Earl CA, ICD.D.
President and CEO, Director
Allison has over 25 years of diverse leadership experience at both the board and management level. She is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer, and a Director, of Advantage Tower Ltd. Prior to her role at Advantage Tower Ltd, Allison was the Chair of BCT Structures Inc., a custom modular manufacturer targeting the oil and gas camp sector. In January 2010, Allison accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer of BCT to affect a corporate turnaround and, in September 2011, BCT closed a deal to sell all of its outstanding shares for cash.
Previously, Allison provided financial leadership for ten years as Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Longbow Capital Inc, a private investment management firm focused on small and mid-cap oil and natural gas companies. She founded a chartered accountancy firm providing financial and business advisory services to corporate clients and their owners across all industry sectors for over 15 years. Allison is a chartered accountant, has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Directors Education Program in June, 2012 and is an Institute of Corporate Directors, Institute Certified Director, ICD.D. Ms. Earl has served as a director on numerous boards of both profit and non-profit organizations and is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
Allison is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, BComm., where she served as class president.
Martin serves as a principal investor and key member of Advantage Tower’s governance and leadership team and is a fundamental resource with regard to business development and community relations for the company.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur and humanitarian, Martin is a former professional hockey player with a career spanning 20 years, playing forward position in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1988 to 2008. During his hockey career, Martin had the privilege of playing on teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, Quebec Nordiques, Vancouver Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators. Notably, Martin was a member of the Edmonton Oilers’ Stanley Cup championship team in 1990.
Martin’s passion for hockey, community service, business and leadership development is steadfast and continues today through his current role as an NHL Assistant Coach for the Calgary Flames. Prior to joining as Assistant Coach with the Calgary Flames in 2012, Martin served as Director of Player Development with the NHL’s Nashville Predators.
Randy Wiebe CA CFA
Chief Financial Officer
Randy has over 25 years of experience in various finance roles. Prior to joining Advantage Tower, Randy spent 2 years as AVP Financial Planning and Analysis with Mark’s Work Wearhouse (“Mark’s”), a national retail apparel and footwear chain. In this role, Randy was responsible for strategy, planning, analysis and forecasting. Prior to his role in financial planning and analysis, Randy was Vice-President, Controller with Mark’s with a wide range of financial responsibilities including financial reporting, tax and operational support.
Previous to this, Randy was Chief Financial Officer with Samson Healthcare Technologies (“Samson”). Samson was a private start-up company that went public targeting the consolidation of home health care businesses in Western Canada.
Randy is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst. In addition, Randy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
Vice President, Business Development
Edward has over twenty years of experience across a variety of industries predominantly in technology sectors and currently serves as Vice President Business Development. Edward brings a breadth of skills in Operations, Business Development, Account Management, Network Deployment, Negotiations, Process Improvement and Performance Metrics to his role.
Prior to joining Advantage Tower, Edward had a varied and successful career focused on commercialization, strategic partnerships, sales leadership, process design and business development at companies including Telus, Zi-Corporation, E-Zone Networks, wMode and Xplornet.
Edward holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Duke University, Durham, NC.
